About Kieran
Australian musician, songwriter and composer, Kieran Roberts has performed with some of Australia's music greats including Russell Morris, Lonnie Lee, Kevin Borich, Max Merrit, Stevie Wright, Normie Rowe, Phil Manning and Blackfeather.
As a songwriter Kieran writes in the piano styles of Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman and Elton John, while also possessing an acoustic guitar-driven alter ego writing Rock, Blues and Country songs. Kieran is also able to write Coldplay-esque anthemic Pop, energy ballads, and other blends of funky Pop Indie styles like songwriter Karl Wallinger of World Party.
As a lyricist Kieran is particularly drawn to the narrative qualities of Harry Chapin, James Taylor and Australian music legend Paul Kelly whose words illuminate and beautify everyday life.
Kieran also enjoys all forms of instrumental composition and has a substantial catalogue of electro-acoustic instrumental music available for film, computer games, documentary’s, etc.
Kieran has a substantial and dynamic involvement with the Australian Songwriters Association from 1996 to the present and served as National President of the ASA from 2003-05.
